At Mission Street Wealth Planning, we understand that superior client advice comes with superior partners. This is why we have partnered with some of the most widely respected companies in our industry including Loring Ward, Charles Schwab, and Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA). These companies bring our clients investment innovation, technology, and efficiency, and allow us to concentrate on what we do best; providing advice.
Loring Ward serves to support Mission Street Wealth Planning with a top tier investment committee and back office functions and support. For over two decades, Loring Ward has provided portfolio management services to a select group of America’s most knowledgeable and successful independent financial advisors and their clients.
These services include access to CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) practitioners, client reporting, portfolio management, operational processing, securities trading, and educational and training support.
Loring Ward’s support services allow financial advisors to spend more time working with clients and less time dealing with the day-to-day management of operational details.
Mission Street Wealth Planning receives a high level of service from Loring Ward including a dedicated administrative team assigned to servicing the needs of our firm and our clients. Loring Ward is headquartered in San Jose, California. Loring Ward has been in business for over 24 years and has over $11 billion in assets under management.
Our clients expect their money to be accessible and safe from theft and fraud. We partner with Charles Schwab as the safe keeper (Custodian) of our client’s accounts.
Schwab Institutional is a pioneering firm with a long history of working exclusively with independent financial advisors. Schwab is the largest provider of dedicated custodial services to the independent investment advisor community, and offers investors a variety of advantages such as the convenience of local branches, specialized institutional trading, banking, trust and pension services, cash management tools, and 24-hour online account access.
Schwab provides cost-efficient access to the wealth management and investment products our clients need, with the financial safety and security that is crucial in today’s economic environment. Charles Schwab is also a leader in technological innovation, which allows us to manage portfolios with efficiency and precision.
Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA) is a leader in developing asset class portfolios for institutional investors and independent investment advisors. Dimensional Fund Advisors’ mutual funds are designed to meet the needs of professional investors, and the firm’s resources are devoted to improving these strategies wherever possible.
Fund shares are not available directly to individuals but are limited to clients of a select group of financial advisory firms like Mission Street Wealth Planning. Our relationship with Dimensional Fund Advisors is based on shared views about how capital markets work and how best to provide clients with a successful investment experience.
DFA’s investment strategies are supported by extensive historical research, which documents a reward for taking risk. Since the firm was founded in 1981, DFA has continued to work with some of the world’s leading financial economists to develop and enhance its strategies.
Mission Street Wealth Planning has access to several Certified Financial Planning (CFP®) professionals. We leverage Certified Financial Planners in Southern California and elsewhere to make sure our clients receive great advice as part of our wealth management experience. CFP’s have advanced education in different areas of the financial planning process including retirement planning, estate planning, cash-flow planning, tax planning, charitable giving, and insurance planning.
The Certified Financial Planners™ we work with have advised affluent investors, non-profit organizations, and thousands of financial advisors across the country. From time to time, we will invite our CFP® partners in meetings to educate clients on the academic foundation of capital markets and how to improve the risk and return characteristics for our clients’ portfolios.
Mission Street Wealth Planning will sometimes rely on advice from a CFP certificant where necessary for client advice on the financial planing process and advanced planning strategies.
